How do we book you?
Get in contact with me to see if I’m available on your wedding date. If I am, a $1000 retainer will confirm my services. I will send you a contract required to be signed and returned within a specified period. The balance can be paid in fortnightly or monthly installments with the final balance due 4 weeks prior to your wedding day.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! I have photographed weddings in most states of Australia as well as the United States and Ireland. For interstate/international weddings I require return flights, car hire and 2 nights accommodation. This enables me to arrive the day beforeyour wedding and find some great shoot locations. I can then stay as long as required at the reception without having to worry about missing a late flight. To ensure you get the best rate possible, I’m happy for you to make these bookings on my behalf.
How many hours do you shoot for?
I’ll be there for you for 9 hours. I’ve found that this is perfect for capturing day prep through to dancing. You can use the time to cover which ever parts of the day are most important to you and you also have the option to add additional hours. If you're having a short wedding or elopement we can tailor a package to suit your needs.
Do we need to feed you?
Yes please! As you can imagine being on my feet all day documenting such an important event burns a heap of calories so my contract requests a main course during the reception. Ideally this should be served at the same time as the bridal party so wef inish when you do and are then ready to cover you mingling with your guests or delivering a speech.
Do you work with a second photographer?
I normally shoot by myself but do work with a couple of trusted photographers when a couple request a second photographer to capture the guys getting ready, finer details and shots of the guests.
When will we get to see our photos?
One week after your wedding I will send you a sneak peak gallery as an App to your smart device that you can share with family and friends. I will have your edited images ready for you approximately 4 weeks after your wedding.
Will we receive copies of all the edited images?
Yes you will. I will provide you with 400-600 images on an archival DVD. Each image will be provided in a colour and b&w versionas well as high resolution (printable) and low resolution (email) version.
Can we order prints through you?
Yes. Every package comes with a secure online viewing gallery from which you may order a range of prints and other unique products. Sometimes it is easier to send family and friends to the proofing website to order as opposed to you having to be responsible for everyone’s order.
Do we really need a wedding album?
Apart from the basics of life needed to survive you don’t need anything. A wedding album, however is a beautiful way to present, appreciate and relive the experience of the best day of your life. Having a few of your wedding photos on your computer screen or phone is a nice reminder, but it doesn’t compare to the physical sensation of turning the pages of your custom designed and masterfully printed wedding album. Your kids and grand kids will thank you!
Now-a-days anyone can publish their own photo album. So many couples have the good intention to make their own wedding album from their DVD of images. Sadly I’ve yet to meet a couple who have made their album. They get back from the honeymoon, life takes over and those images remain inconveniently stored away on the DVD. They’ll never have the luxury of sitting down at a wim and flipping through the pages to relive the feelings they experienced on that magical day. Food for thought.
Albums also offer security. If you only have jpeg images how do we know if they will be readable in 10, 20, 50 years time? Floppy disks and video cassettes used to be the standard, but how would you view them now?
How long will it take to produce our wedding album?
Every album is designed specifically to each couple’s individual tastes and preferences. This process can’t be rushed and takes 4-6 weeks to complete.
